Okura Ohitashi

Okura ohitashi is one of the Japanese vegetable appetizer dish.
You can enjoy the natural taste of okura with Ohitashi sauce.
You may use Ponzu sauce instead of Ohitashi sauce.

 Directions:

  
 
Put all the Recipe's ingredients in a pot and heat it up.
Boil for 1 minutes and cool it down.
Now, ohitashi sauce is ready.
At the same time, boil hot water in the another pot.
Cut the okura for proper length.
Put the okura into the boiling water. ( The pot from step #3. )
Boil the okura until cooked.
Please do not boil too much.
Put the okura into the cold water and cool it down.
Drain the water well.
Put the okura into the cold ohitashi sauce.
Dish up the okura with ohitashi sauce.
Garnish with bonito flakes or sesame seed, if desired.
