Hakusai Bacon

<Ingredients>

Chinese cabbage (Hakusai)
Bacon (uncooked)
Salt
Black Pepper
 
<Directions>

1. Take a leaf of Chinese Cabbage.
Spread uncooked bacon on top of the leaf.
Add a second layer of cabbage.
And a second layer of bacon.

You may add a third layer of each if you like.
Top with a layer of cabbage.

2. Cut vertically into 3 equal pieces. Tie both ends of each piece with string.

3. Carefully lay each piece into a wide pot. Cover with water.

Bring to a boil. Remove scum from water’s surface. Simmer until bacon fat gets soft.
Then add salt and black pepper.

5. Lift each piece out carefully with a spatula.

6.Serve hot.
 

<Comments>

Low Calorie Version

1.  After cooking, Leave pieces in the pot until they cool down.

2. Then the bacon fat will be on Chinese Cabbage leaves.

3. Remove fat from each leaf.
